The author - is a physical person which creative activity creates the work. (Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan of July 20, 2006 No. ZRU-42).

According to the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the right owners are:

- Authors and co-authors, performers and producers;

- Their heirs - any individuals and legal entities to whom exclusive rights to the object of intellectual property were transferred under the contract;

- employers;

- customers.

Copyright extends to works of science, literature and art, which are the result of creative activity, regardless of the purpose and dignity of the work, as well as the way it is expressed. Copyright extends to both published and unpublished works that are in any objective form: written, oral, sound or video recordings, images, three-dimensional and other forms (Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 1997).
